Visualising COP workshop

Through a workshop session we started to combine our theory work with practical exploration. By collating a series of images and drawings, and linking them to quotes and sections of my essay I was able to see what impact colour theory has in a practical environment.

Also, from discussing this project with my peers, I've realised I really need to start drawing more in and around my project in order to ensure I don't leave it all to the last minute.

I found it really intriguing to begin to unpick colour theory, and think about ways of portraying the meaning of a colour through image.

What this session has taught me is that I need to broaden my views on this subject and not focus solely on links to my essay.

What will I do next?
Draw packaging as much as I can!
Explore ways of constructing packaging
Visually dissect why certain colours are used on certain packagings

Looking at the importance of flat colour and where this sits within
a consumer society
Looking at how important packaging is, and what the most
important factors are- is it function over form?
Quickly looking at green symbolising luck
Red symbolising hunger- could I create an experiment around
this? And see how people subconsciously choose based on colour?
